PC Games are most prone to being corrupted because they exist on your hard drive which gets written to non stop. Viruses can easily wipe out a PC game. The instructions below will guide you through the process of burning a PC game onto a DVD or CD. All you need are some blank disks, a CD or DVD drive, burning software and the game. Some games can take a bit long so maybe do it while you can do other things. Order in pizza, some soda, have some friends over, watch the big game. It really depends on the speed of your drive and the speed of your computer. Also, how advance the game is. The more advanced the longer it’ll take.
1. Insert your blank CD into the drive
2. Open a burn software program such as Nero Express. There are several burning programs available. For the sake of this task, Nero Express will be used. Instructions using Other programs may differ from these instructions. Click on Start located on the menu bar.
3. Go to the tab “All Programs and Click on “Nero.”
4. A pop-up box of Nero Express will be show on the screen. To begin burning PC games to your blank disk, click on “Data Disk.”
5. Click on “Add” in the Nero pop-up window. A browser for your hard drive will now display. Find the PC games you want to burn. Click on them individually until the bar at the screen bottom is maxed to the red, dotted line.
6. Click the “Next” button.”
7. You will be shown a window that displays the burner installed and the write speed. It will also give you the option if you want a multisession disk. This option should be unchecked unless you are using a CD with Read/Write capabilities and also if you wish to add more files at a later time.
8. Click on the “Burn” button and wait for the CD to finish. The time it takes to complete varies from computer to computer. A fast PC for instance should take no longer than 90 minutes.
